Hello, one and all! We are now into our Poetry unit and everyone is writing poetry furiously. Well, perhaps not furiously, but you should be experimenting with various styles and forms in order to put them in your Poetry Potpourri. You may have decided you are going to present your poems in a different format, too. Can't wait to see them!
This week, don't forget to bring in your poems and songs with related themes. Presentations for Wednesday and Thursday!
Special note: Since our Elizabethan Feast has been eclipsed by the Literary Cafe, let's think about what we can do to make that a special event! French waiters? Candles? Flaming Baked Alaska?

New Term!

Hello, English 10 people! Report card marks for Term 1 are finally in! If you have an "I" on your report card, you have until December 1st to hand your outstanding assignments in. That is way too reasonable!!
We are embarking on a poetry unit, starting with watching the wonderful classic film, Dead Poets Society with Robin Williams. I hope you like this movie. We will be talking about many of the issues related to the movie and your first assignment is going to be to write a poem about one of the many themes in the movie. See you next week!
