The Chrysalids!
April 2/09 A snowy day!! Writing about snow and our love or loathing of it.
We have also started the study of The Chrysalids, a futuristic novel, written in 1955 by John Wyndham. Strangely enough, it has become more relevant of late with issues like global warming, economic collapse, world-wide wars, and intolerance and bigotry still rearing their ugly heads with no sign of lessening.
I am reading most of the book to the class, but they are assigned certain chapters.
Chapters 8 and 9 for Monday!
The Chrysalids writing workbook should be kept up to date.
The Chrysalids creative projects have been handed out. Students can begin anytime!
