Welcome to English 10!

Hello, English 10 people! Finally! A blog! I have joined the 21st century. Hopefully, you will be able to create your own blogs and post your creative writing, essays, reports, etc. and I will be able to give you quick feedback! Doesn't that sound exciting??

We have been working on Creative Writing. Most of you have handed in the following:
  • Adapt-a-ballad
  • Classical allusion quest
  • Horror story
  • Flash Fiction

Check out the 0-6 Ministry Marking Rubric for creative writing in your notebooks.

  • As of October 9th, we started the study of Romeo and Juliet.
  • We will study the play by reading and analyzing several scenes, viewing and analyzing three different film renditions of the play, (including the famous adaptation, West Side Story), dramatizing several scenes (complete with props, costumes and music).
  • Our culminating activity will be an Elizabethan Feast, including dramatic and musical presentations, and, of course, a sumptuous student-made feast of goodly stew and berry "sack"!
  • Continue with your Language Power books. On to Unit Three!
